Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment (Site)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits, document findings, and identify hazards, violations, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and monitor site-specific safety protocols, procedures, and programs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs to site personnel.
• Monitor compliance with UAE regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Maintain safety records and reports for regulatory review and internal analysis.
• Work with site management and operational teams to integrate safety into daily decisions.
• Analyze safety metrics and trends and develop improvement initiatives.
• Perform hazard assessments and risk evaluations for projects, processes, equipment, and changes.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety concerns and escalate critical issues.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities, consultants, and environmental agencies.
• Monitor PPE use and support environmental sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles with site supervision and operational responsibilities.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar environments.
• Hands-on experience in multicultural, site-based operational settings with diverse workforce management.
• Ability to develop and implement site-specific safety programs and protocols.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
