Role overview
Ohana Development is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant for its Finance and Accounts team.
The role maintains accurate accounting records, manages reconciliations, supports monthly closing, and ensures timely recording of financial transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain shareholder accounts, record transactions, and ensure accurate, up-to-date balances.
- Record and reconcile Alaan Card transactions, retain supporting documentation, and monitor outstanding items.
- Perform intercompany account reconciliations and match balances between entities.
- Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries in the accounting system.
- Assist with monthly closing by posting entries, reviewing ledger balances, and completing reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
- Assist the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager with other accounting and reporting requirements.
Required qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
