Account Manager –Payments

Our client is looking for a high-performing Account Manager to drive growth across the Middle East market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving payments technology business with a strong reputation in the market and a mission-critical role in powering the payments ecosystem.

You’ll take ownership of a defined territory, managing both new business opportunities and strategic customer relationships, while driving complex sales cycles from prospecting through to close.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities across current and prospective customers
  • Own the full sales cycle for complex opportunities, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives across banks, financial institutions, processors, merchants and other strategic accounts.
  • Develop territory and account strategies to maximise market opportunity and drive consistent revenue growth.
  • Manage the overall relationship with established accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty and long-term commercial value.
  • Work closely with internal teams and, where appropriate, distributor or partner networks to support successful sales execution.
  • Maintain accurate account profiles, pipeline records, customer org charts, forecasts and sales activity updates.
  • Present solutions clearly and confidently, tailoring messaging to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Operate with strong sales discipline, accountability and focus on bringing opportunities to a successful close.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of successful direct sales experience, ideally selling technology solutions into financial institutions, processors, merchants, ecommerce businesses or large enterprise customers.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within payments, ecommerce, mobile payments or payments processing.
  • Strong track record of selling complex enterprise solutions and consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Experience selling into banks, financial institutions, processors or merchant acquirers is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to prospect, qualify and progress large, complex sales opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong understanding of both business and technical solution selling.
  • Comfortable managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across business, technology, procurement and executive leadership.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions clearly and respond creatively to customer needs.
  • Strong CRM discipline, including pipeline management, forecasting and account planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
