The Yard Supervisor will oversee daily yard operations, manpower, equipment, and material movement.
The role focuses on efficient yard activities, safety, housekeeping, and operational compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily yard operations and manpower.
- Manage the movement, handling, loading, unloading, and storage of materials and equipment.
- Maintain yard organization, housekeeping, and material identification.
- Coordinate with logistics, marine, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Monitor yard equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, PPE requirements, and safe work procedures.
- Prepare daily yard activity reports and maintain operational records.
- Resolve operational issues and support smooth, timely yard activities.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in yard operations, marine, shipyard, logistics, or industrial environments.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in logistics, marine, engineering, operations, or a related field.
- Proven experience supervising yard activities, manpower, equipment, loading and unloading, and material handling.
- Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and safe working practices.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with yard documentation, inventory or material tracking, and daily operational reporting.
- Marine or shipyard experience is highly preferred.
