- Ensure all construction works are performed in strict accordance with plans and specifications
- Report any failure of the Contractor to perform work as per drawings and specifications to the ARE or RE
- Maintain a detailed diary of day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used
- Interface with the public and stakeholders adjacent to the work to mitigate construction impacts
- Coordinate with contractor’s site engineers on daily basis to advise on proper execution of work
- Coordinate with other discipline inspectors and arrange for sampling and testing of completed work
- Coordinate with Surveyors to check line and grade of work for conformance with plans and specifications
- Process Inspection Requests and maintain records of their status
- Maintain detailed records of work performed on a Day Works basis
- Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in road/infrastructure construction supervision and wet utilities projects
- Strong understanding of wet utilities systems: potable water, firefighting, irrigation, stormwater, and foul sewer networks
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority standards (e.g. ADDC, ADSSC, ADM, DMT, TAQA) related to wet utilities
- Experience witnessing and documenting tests: hydrostatic pressure tests, leakage tests, gravity sewer/storm tests, and manhole/chamber inspections
- Fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports
- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Wet Utilities Inspector to perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
- Report to the ARE or RE any failure of the Contractor to perform the work as per the drawings and specifications and to provide good workmanship.
- Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc.
- Interface with the public and stakeholders adjacent to the work to mitigate the construction impacts.
- Coordinate with the contractor’s site engineers in charge of the work on a daily basis to advise on the proper execution of the work.
- Coordinate with the other disciplines inspectors and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
- Coordinate with the Surveyors to check the line and grade of ready work and completed work for conformance with the plans and specifications.
- Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the ARE or to the RE.
- Process the Inspection Requests and maintain records of their status.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed by the contractor in case the work is performed on a Day Works basis.
- Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Assistant Resident Engineer and the project safety representatives.
- Act in a professional way but firm in dealings with the Contractor.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Must be able to read the shop drawings, method statements and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in all aspects of road/infrastructure construction supervision and general Wet utilities projects.
- Strong understanding of wet utilities systems: potable water, firefighting, irrigation, stormwater, and foul sewer networks.
