Job Summary

  • The Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking food and beverage orders, serving guests efficiently, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Present menus and explain menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly according to the hotel's service standards.
  • Ensure guests are satisfied throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to requests.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Set up tables before service and clear tables after guests leave.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper table settings, including cutlery, crockery, glassware, and condiments.
  • Process guest bills accurately and handle cash or card payments when required.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Comply with company grooming, uniform, and hygiene policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Hospitality or Food & Beverage certification is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant is preferred; freshers with a positive attitude may also apply.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; Hindi or other languages are an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and carry serving trays.

Working Conditions

  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Long periods of standing and walking.
  • May be required to work overtime during busy periods.
