Role Overview
Raffles The Palm Dubai is seeking a Waiter or Waitress for its luxury hotel food and beverage operations.
The role reports to the Food and Beverage Supervisor or Outlet Manager and provides professional service to hotel guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Read daily events and acknowledge VIP arrivals.
- Know menu items, garnishes, contents, preparation methods, specials, and alternative cuisine.
- Present children's menus when appropriate and explain menu information to guests.
- Serve and clear food and beverage items professionally.
- Use the POS system to ring sales, print and close checks, and complete cash-out procedures.
- Carry trays, bus and reset tables, polish silver, and restock table supplies.
- Check guest satisfaction, resolve problems, and report issues and resolutions to management.
- Follow cash, credit card, safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain clean, safe, stocked, and orderly restaurant, service, and storage areas.
- Perform opening, closing, light cleaning, maintenance, and waste reduction duties.
- Assist other food and beverage outlets during peak hours when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of food and beverage serving experience.
- Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience.
- Secondary education.
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Ability to handle cash effectively and efficiently.
- Good communication, customer contact, and problem resolution skills.
- Basic food and beverage product knowledge.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Professional presentation and grooming at all times.
