Role Overview
The Head Waitress supports colleagues and leaders in delivering high service standards and improving guest satisfaction through positive engagement and communication.
The position reports to the Outlets Supervisor and is based in the Raffles Dubai lobby lounge.
The role includes hands-on service and support for supervision, training, and daily outlet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain LQA service standards and follow outlet procedures.
- Review daily reports and hotel updates, acknowledge VIP arrivals, and communicate relevant information.
- Explain menu items, specials, alternative cuisine, and beverage preparation to guests.
- Serve and clear food and beverages professionally using trays and appropriate service ware.
- Operate the POS system, print and close checks, and complete cash-out procedures.
- Carry trays, bus and reset tables, and maintain tables with required linen, chinaware, glassware, and silverware.
- Handle guest concerns and report comments or deviations from standards to management.
- Prepare specialty coffee and tea and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain clean, safe, stocked, and orderly service and storage areas.
- Follow safety, sanitation, HACCP, hygiene, cash, and credit card procedures.
- Assist with inventories, equipment maintenance, cleaning, opening and closing duties, and waste reduction.
- Support shift briefings, colleague training, and supervision during operations.
Role Requirements
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
- Ability to operate the POS system and complete cash-out procedures.
- Ability to prepare specialty coffee and tea and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, HACCP, and hygiene policies.
- Ability to support supervision, shift briefings, and colleague training.
