Job description

The Spa Therapist reports to the Spa Manager and delivers exceptional spa treatments and personalized wellness experiences.

The role includes facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, massages, scrubs, wraps, and other aesthetic services.

Treatments must be delivered safely, professionally, hygienically, and in a personalized manner.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform spa treatments for members and guests using safe and professional techniques.
  • Maintain supplies, product inventories, treatment kits, work areas, and equipment.
  • Assist with salon reception, nail services, retail sales, and restocking when not scheduled for aesthetic services.
  • Maintain knowledge of services, products, procedures, and current aesthetic industry trends.
  • Answer questions, review appointments, coordinate treatments, and promote spa services.
  • Support spa operations and cross-department activities as required.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction, safety, cleanliness, and service standards.

Administrative duties

  • Follow the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
  • Maintain training logs and treatment-room supply inventories.
  • Maintain accurate records required by the hotel and government regulations.
  • Attend weekly and monthly aesthetic department communication meetings.

Health and safety

  • Follow departmental safety procedures, emergency procedures, and the spa safety manual.
  • Maintain aesthetic and personal equipment in safe and sanitary condition.
  • Ensure safety and service remain priorities for guests, members, and colleagues.

Qualifications and experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of aesthetics.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience as an aesthetician.
  • Hold a valid DHA license.
  • Have safety-oriented First Aid training and CPR - Basic Rescuer training.
  • Maintain current professional licenses.
  • Be trained in facility operations and cross-trained across spa departments.

Colleague relations and operations

  • Maintain positive relationships with departments throughout the spa and hotel.
  • Understand and follow spa safety policies, emergency procedures, employee handbook standards, and salon operations.
  • Support facility operations, cleanliness, retail, guest relations, and cross-department coordination.

Financial responsibilities

  • Maintain the facility while adhering to operating budget requirements, including payroll.
  • Ensure efficient billing of services to guests.
