About the Role
First Abu Dhabi Bank seeks a VP & Head of Audit to lead audits of Personal, Wealth & Commercial Banking functions across the group. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute audits covering Personal Banking, Commercial Banking & Subsidiaries functions
- Act as day to day contact with Management, influencing change through advice
- Provide input to GIA on issues impacting the FAB Group
- Conduct special investigations and reviews as required
- Manage audit teams and provide guidance and on the job training
- Prepare and maintain risk assessments and audit programs
- Review and finalize audit reports within 6 weeks of fieldwork completion
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience with an International Bank or Big 4
- At least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in Risk Management/Audit
- Expert knowledge of Business & Credit activities and processes and associated risks
- Strong leadership capability and team oriented
- Excellent analytical and communication skills

Job Purpose
- Subject matter expert responsible for planning and executing audits covering Personal Banking, Commercial Banking & Subsidiaries functions domestically and internationally.
- Provide assurance to Management by identifying weaknesses, reporting findings, and agreeing action plans.
Key Accountabilities
- End to end managing the audit of FAB Group's Business, Product & Credit related activities.
- Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues.
- Monitor financial performance of given areas versus budgets.
- Execute established GIA policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain risk assessments and audit programs.
- Conduct audits and assess governance, risk management, and control procedures.
- Draft and finalize audit reports within 6 weeks of fieldwork.
- Lead continuous improvement of processes and practices.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships.
- Act as Audit Business Partner for Line Managers.
- Ensure pending audit issues are followed up and corrective actions implemented.
- Conduct investigations and special reviews as assigned.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree.
- Relevant post graduate or professional qualification desirable.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience with an International Bank or Big 4.
- At least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in Risk Management/Audit.
- Expert knowledge of Business & Credit activities and processes.
- Strong leadership capability and team oriented.
- Self directed, able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
