Qualifications and Experience

• A Ph.D. from a reputable university is required.
• An outstanding teaching record is required in at least one of thermo-fluids or manufacturing and materials.
• An outstanding research and publication record in top journals is required.
• Adequate experience supervising student projects and thesis papers is required.
• Collaborative and interdisciplinary research experience is advantageous.
• An excellent record of community service and scholarly activities is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate mechanical engineering courses.
• Use innovative and technology-based approaches to learning and teaching.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees as assigned.
• Contribute to the growth of Ajman University.
• Provide consultancy services to researchers and the business community.
• Assess and track student progress and provide feedback.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish outcomes in reputable journals and conferences.
• Collaborate with departments, industry, government agencies, and international partners.
• Build industry partnerships, secure collaborative projects, and facilitate technology transfer.
• Participate in accreditation, program review, and curriculum enhancement.
• Maintain respectful and culturally sensitive learning environments and effective relationships.
• Motivate and inspire students and colleagues, seek effective teaching resources, and perform assigned duties.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Familiarity with the Credit Hour academic system.
• Ability to supervise student work and provide academic advising.
• Ability to conduct independent research and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse team members.
• Knowledge of academic program planning and implementation.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems.
