Senior Institutional Effectiveness Officer

Role Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and operate the Unit of Assessment and Effectiveness to achieve targets aligned with institutional strategy.
• Oversee annual effectiveness reports from colleges and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collect, validate, and verify OBEF data and supporting evidence from colleges and administrative units.
• Calculate, review, and monitor OBEF KPI scores and trends, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare OBEF reports, summaries, presentations, annual reports, survey reports, and corrective action reports.
• Manage OBEF surveys and maintain organized evidence repositories and historical records.
• Guide KPI owners and relevant units on OBEF requirements, calculations, evidence, reporting, and MOHESR updates.
• Develop training and professional development programs and lead assessment workshops for faculty and staff.
• Research benchmarking and best practices and develop institutional improvement strategies.
• Develop and coordinate educational outcomes assessment plans aligned with institutional goals.
• Audit course files and prepare responses to QAA and WSCUC reports related to assessment and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in assessment and effectiveness reporting.
• Experience working with senior academics.
• Experience working successfully to deadlines under pressure.

Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of assessment practices for continuous improvement in an institutional setting.
• Expertise in determining and enhancing institutional effectiveness and implementing performance improvement strategies.
• Experience with MOHESR OBEF KPIs and Corrective Action Plans.
• Experience submitting OBEF KPI data to MOHESR using HEDB and API.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent IT skills, including word processing, data analysis, and database management.

Working Conditions

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior office environment.
• The position requires little or no physical effort and has little or no exposure to physical risk.
• The position may involve work after duty hours, on weekends, holidays, and during emergencies.
