RAKBANK is seeking a Vice President of Quality Assurance to lead the transformation from manual testing to an automation-first, AI-augmented quality engineering practice.

Responsibilities
- Lead RAKBANK's QA automation transformation programme, establishing automation vision, roadmap, and coverage targets
- Architect and build enterprise test automation framework estate (UI, API, integration, data validation)
- Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines with pass/fail gates and dashboards
- Drive AI assisted testing adoption (LLM powered test generation, self healing selectors, etc.)
- Implement shift left automation practices and BDD style test authoring
- Establish intelligent test data management as an engineering discipline
- Own API and service layer automation (contract tests, integration tests, schema validation)
- Govern automation coverage metrics and produce health dashboards
- Architect containerised and distributed test execution environments
- Lead and develop the automation engineering team
- Evaluate and select automation tooling
- Partner with Head of QA on non functional automation (performance, chaos, security)
Requirements
- 10+ years in test automation engineering, with a minimum of 3 years as a Lead or Principal Automation Engineer in an agile delivery environment
- Expert proficiency in at least two automation frameworks across UI and API layers: Playwright or Selenium for web; Appium for mobile; RestAssured or Karate for API
- Strong command of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript as the automation language
- Proven experience building test automation frameworks from a low coverage baseline
- Hands on CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Harness)
- Demonstrable experience or active exploration of AI assisted testing tools
- Experience designing test data management solutions
- Familiarity with containerised test execution (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- ISTQB Test Automation Engineer certification is required

What We Are Looking For
