Job Description

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with SME clients, understanding their trade cycles and working capital requirements.
  • Analyze clients’ cash flow cycles and recommend working capital optimization strategies.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of SME clients to achieve annual business targets.
  • Conduct in depth analysis of clients' business models and financial requirements to provide tailored banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME clients, building strong relationships and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Offer tailored trade finance solutions, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and supply chain financing, to optimize client liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Cross sell and up sell bank products and services to existing and potential clients, expanding the bank's market share and profitability.
  • Conduct thorough credit risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations to maintain a healthy portfolio.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to provide insightful advice and solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, operations, and product specialists, to deliver seamless and efficient service to clients.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on portfolio performance, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the bank's network and identify potential new clients.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and trust.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to stay ahead of the curve in the dynamic world of trade finance.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree or professional certifications.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in relationship management, with a proven track record of managing and growing an SME client portfolio.
  • In depth knowledge of trade finance products, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and supply chain financing.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client centric approach and a track record of building long lasting relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • A proactive and results driven mindset, with a focus on achieving sales targets and maintaining a healthy portfolio.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic being an added advantage.
  • A strong network and understanding of the business landscape in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates is highly desirable.
