The Vehicle Inspector will join the dubizzle Cars team.

Role Overview

The Vehicle Inspector conducts detailed inspections of cars of all body types and prepares reports documenting their condition.

Inspections cover mechanical, electrical, paint, underbody, onboard diagnostics, and photographic evidence.

The inspector helps qualify vehicles for entry into the organization’s automotive ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles for emissions standards and government regulatory compliance.
  • Assess the engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, interior, electrical systems, air-conditioning, tyres, ECU, and sensors.
  • Assess paint condition, accident damage, and wear-and-tear damage.
  • Identify missing, dysfunctional, or illegal parts or equipment.
  • Check preventive maintenance programs.
  • Investigate complaints, accidents, auction history, and total loss claims.
  • Conduct VIN investigations using the inspection directory.
  • Escalate critical findings or investigation questions to the Team Leader.
  • Take professional photographs and document errors or inspection findings.
  • Prepare inspection reports and complete post-inspection checkpoints.
  • Suggest improvements for vehicles that fail inspection when required.

Requirements

  • High school education or a mechanical diploma.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
  • At least five years of experience as a vehicle inspector.
  • Mechanical and electrical work experience in automotive environments.
  • Expert-level automobile knowledge, including older and newer car models and segments.
  • Knowledge of relevant automotive inspection equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and confidence working in a technology-focused environment.
  • Photography skills, attention to detail, and sound observation-based decision-making.
  • Ability to work under changing circumstances and tight deadlines.
  • Automotive certification is good to have.
