Role Overview
The Data Engineer Intern will participate in projects covering the end-to-end data lifecycle.
Projects span raw data integrations, data modelling, visualisation, and innovative data products.
The role includes learning to build and work with batch and real-time data processing pipelines.
Work takes place in a modern cloud-based data warehousing environment with cross-functional teams.
In This Role
- Handle raw data integrations with primary and third-party systems.
- Develop data warehouse models for operational and application data layers.
- Develop in an Amazon Redshift cluster and write SQL within an agile workflow.
- Design and implement ETL processes in Matillion ETL.
- Design and implement data products for data-driven features and business solutions.
- Support data quality, system stability, security, and coding standards in SQL, Python, and ETL design.
- Create dashboards and advanced visualisations in Periscope Data with a focus on UX, simplicity, and usability.
- Collaborate with product, technology, marketing, finance, advertising, and core business teams.
- Contribute to team culture and the development of big data capabilities.
