Technology Strategy Lead

We are seeking a thoughtful, research-driven Technology Strategy Lead to shape and deliver forward-looking initiatives at the intersection of technology, business, and innovation.

The successful candidate will lead research, concept development, and strategic delivery for projects that translate complex technology opportunities into practical, scalable, and high-impact outcomes.

This is a hands-on role working closely with leadership, product, engineering, partner organizations, and the communications team to build clear, ambitious, and well-coordinated technology strategies and accompanying programs.

Lead research and concept development for technology strategy initiatives across business and product areas.

Identify, commission and cultivate relationships with technologists, engineers, researchers, product teams, and strategic partners.

Produce strategic briefs, reports, presentations, roadmaps, and executive materials that communicate complex topics clearly.

Develop project timelines, delivery briefs, and coordinate implementation with technical teams and vendors.

Manage project budgets, schedules and supplier/contractor relationships.

Organize accompanying workshops, demos, planning sessions, and educational materials.

Liaise with technical and business partners to ensure accurate and ethical presentation of research and strategy; arrange access to data, prototypes or environments as required.

Oversee documentation, testing records, and archival records for each project or initiative.

Support fundraising and proposal applications by preparing research summaries and recommendations.

Monitor stakeholder feedback and research impact; refine interpretive strategies to increase accessibility, adoption, and engagement.

Minimum BA/MA in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Technology Management, Innovation Studies, or a related field; PhD or equivalent research experience preferred.

At least 3–5 years technology strategy, research, consulting, or program experience in a company, startup, consultancy, lab, or equivalent professional setting.

Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with technology domains such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, XR, quantum computing, or related frontier areas — deep technical expertise is not required, but proven ability to learn and collaborate with technical teams is essential.

Strong research, writing and editorial skills — able to produce clear, engaging strategic and business-facing texts and funding materials.

Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination and logistics.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building cross-disciplinary collaborations between leadership, product, engineering, research, and business teams.

Experience programming workshops, demos, planning sessions, or education activities.

Commitment to accessible presentation and ethical engagement with technology content.

Portfolio or track record of technology strategy projects, roadmaps, or related work (links or PDF).

Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
