Responsibilities
- Develop and refine performance strategies for AI characters, virtual humans, avatars, and interactive digital personalities
- Analyze character behavior, emotional expression, dialogue delivery, and interaction patterns to improve authenticity and engagement
- Collaborate with creative and technical teams to translate acting principles into digital character behaviors and AI driven interactions
- Create character performance guidelines, emotional frameworks, personality models, and behavioral documentation
- Evaluate character interactions and provide recommendations for improving realism, consistency, and audience connection
- Support the development of character identities, motivations, backgrounds, and storytelling elements
- Work with voice, animation, motion capture, and AI teams to enhance character presence and expressiveness
- Conduct performance reviews, testing sessions, and feedback analysis to continuously improve character quality
- Research emerging practices in acting, storytelling, digital performance, AI characters, and immersive experiences
- Participate in creative reviews, workshops, demonstrations, and cross functional development sessions
Requirements
- Minimum BA/MA in Acting, Performing Arts, Theatre, Film, Animation, Digital Media, Psychology, Communication, Human Computer Interaction, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered
- At least 3–5 years of experience in acting, character development, performance coaching, voice performance, animation, gaming, virtual production, or related industries
- Strong understanding of character psychology, emotional expression, storytelling, and performance techniques
- Experience developing characters for games, animation, film, digital media, virtual environments, or interactive experiences
- Knowledge of AI powered characters, conversational AI, digital humans, motion capture, or immersive technologies is highly desirable
- Excellent observation, creative problem solving, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both creative and technical teams
- Experience providing performance feedback, coaching, or creative direction
- Ability to understand and apply principles of human behavior, emotion, and audience engagement
- Portfolio or track record demonstrating successful character performance, acting, directing, or character development projects
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset

About the Job
- We are seeking a creative, detail oriented, and performance focused Character Performance Specialist to enhance the realism, personality, and emotional depth of AI powered characters, digital humans, virtual avatars, and interactive personalities.
- The successful candidate will focus on developing and refining character behaviors, expressions, communication styles, and performance quality across digital platforms.
- This is a hands on role working closely with AI engineers, acting coaches, character designers, animators, writers, voice specialists, and product teams to create engaging and believable character experiences.
