- Lead the strategy and creative direction for interactive character experiences across digital products and platforms
- Define character interaction frameworks, engagement models, personality systems, and user experience standards
- Collaborate with AI engineers, writers, performers, designers, and developers to create believable and compelling character driven experiences
- Oversee the development of character narratives, conversational behaviors, emotional responses, and interactive storytelling systems
- Establish quality standards and performance metrics for character engagement, retention, and user satisfaction
- Guide user research initiatives and analyze audience behavior to improve character interactions and overall experience quality
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of creative, technical, and business objectives
- Manage project timelines, budgets, production schedules, and stakeholder communications
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends related to conversational AI, digital humans, gaming, immersive media, and interactive storytelling
- Support strategic partnerships, public presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and thought leadership activities related to interactive character experiences
Requirements
- Minimum BA/MA in HCI, Game Design, Digital Media, AI, Psychology, Communication, Storytelling, Performing Arts, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- At least 5 years of experience in experience design, gaming, interactive media, AI powered products, digital storytelling, virtual production, or related industries
- Strong understanding of character design, narrative development, human behavior, and audience engagement principles
- Experience working with virtual characters, digital humans, avatars, conversational AI systems, or interactive entertainment products
- Knowledge of AI technologies, large language models, conversational design, and emerging character based platforms
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing creative and technical teams in complex projects
- Strong project management capabilities including budgeting, planning, coordination, and execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience conducting user research, playtesting, audience analysis, or engagement optimization initiatives is highly desirable
- Portfolio or track record demonstrating successful delivery of interactive experiences, character driven products, or digital media projects
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset

About the Job
- We are seeking a visionary, user focused Interactive Character Experience Director to lead the creation and evolution of engaging character driven experiences powered by artificial intelligence, interactive storytelling, and immersive technologies.
- The successful candidate will oversee the strategy, design, and execution of experiences involving virtual characters, digital humans, conversational agents, avatars, and interactive personalities across multiple platforms.
- This is a hands on leadership role working closely with AI engineers, writers, performers, UX designers, animators, game developers, and product teams to create memorable and emotionally engaging character interactions.
Responsibilities
