Responsibilities
- Operate control panels of material handling systems, reactor charge/discharge systems, and other equipment
- Maintain process parameters as per daily operating instructions and SOPs
- Coordinate with field staff and set equipment/valve positions as required
- Communicate with shift supervisor/senior panel operator on deviations and guidance
- Record process parameters in log sheets
- Execute scheduled and corrective maintenance, major repairs of equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment breakdowns and assist in root cause analysis
- Attend hydraulic problems during breakdowns and report abnormalities
- Inspect equipment to meet engineering principles and safety regulations
- Report hazards and near misses in the area
- Assist hydraulic supervisor in technical areas for smooth maintenance
- Follow maintenance standards and adhere to ES LSR and work instructions
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Fitter trade
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and maintenance
- Ability to operate control panels and maintain process parameters
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures
- English language proficiency

Responsibilities
- To carry out the control panel operations of material handling systems, Reactor charge and discharge systems, Hot DRI Transport to SMP, Cold DRI handling, de dustings systems, cement coating.
- Maintain the process parameters as per daily operating instructions and as per SOPs.
- Monitor and take timely action to avoid delays and unsafe events.
Process Maintenance
- To operate the assigned areas of the plant safely and maintain the process parameters as per the daily operating instructions to achieve the Departments targets.
Coordination
- To coordinate with field staff and setting the field position of equipment and valves as required for the process.
- To communicate with shift supervisor / Senior Panel Operator on any deviations and guidance.
- Coordinate with MH Department for raw material feeding and Product discharge system.
Safety Standards
- Familiarize with shutdown and start up procedures and emergency handling procedures for safe operation of the plant.
Plant Records
- Record process parameters in the log sheets.
Implement Production Optimization
- To execute all scheduled (day to day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipment in order to optimize production & minimize plant down time for maintenance related development works.
Facilitate Corrective Action
- Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipment s and provide the assistance to find out the root cause for corrective action maintenance related development works.
Prevent System Abnormalities
- Responsible for attending hydraulics problems during breakdowns in the Plant. To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the Plant to plan & rectify the same.
Meet Engineering/ Safety Principles
- Inspection of equipment s to meet engineering principles and safety regulations in hydraulics maintenance related development works.
- Report the relevant hazards and near miss in the area.
