Role overview
The Logistics Technician manages warehouse, aviation supply, inventory, property, HAZMAT, and spare-parts activities.
The role supports aviation operations by controlling material receipt, storage, issue, repair, shipment, and accountability.
Core responsibilities
- Count stock and maintain inventory, property, asset-visibility, shortage, pricing, and balance records.
- Receive, stock, preserve, transfer, issue, and requisition materials for users and work sites.
- Monitor shelf-life items, inspections, expiries, preservation requirements, calibration dates, and overhaul schedules.
- Use warehouse, requisition, shipping, transportation, and automated supply systems for records and transactions.
- Manage storage space, locations, facilities, material-handling equipment, key control, and periodic inventories.
- Process unserviceable parts for repair, evaluate repair quotations, track repairs, and coordinate shipments.
- Manage warranty claims, monitor vendor performance and defect trends, and inspect repaired parts before receipt.
HAZMAT and compliance
- Apply hazard and risk assessment techniques and resolve storage and safety issues in accordance with SDS.
- Perform containment or confinement operations within available resources and personal protective equipment.
