Role Overview
Rixos Al Mairid is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across the hotel property.
The role provides technical and guest-focused service as part of the Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems across the hotel complex.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and installations.
- Respond to maintenance requests and technical issues promptly.
- Support emergency response procedures and comply with fire and life safety standards.
- Maintain workshop inventory and control material stock.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and ISO quality, health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
- Contribute to energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with departments to support smooth hotel operations.
- Participate in task force assignments and special projects when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in electrical engineering or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in a similar role.
- Hotel or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
Schedule and Physical Requirements
- The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- The successful candidate must be physically fit for rescues, extended standing, and outdoor duties in varying weather conditions.
