Job Description
Support the Laundry Manager in overseeing daily hotel laundry and linen services.
Ensure guest laundry, hotel linen, uniforms, and textile items are processed efficiently and meet luxury hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with management and daily operation of the hotel laundry department.
- Supervise laundry team members and coordinate workflow and productivity.
- Monitor washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and food and beverage linen.
- Ensure processing follows procedures, fabric-care instructions, hygiene requirements, and quality standards.
- Inspect processed items and monitor inventory, stocktaking, damaged items, and lost linen or uniforms.
- Coordinate linen and uniform requirements with other hotel departments.
- Handle guest laundry and special requests accurately and promptly.
- Monitor equipment, report technical issues, and assist with preventive maintenance.
- Control chemicals and supplies, minimize waste, and support cost-control initiatives.
- Prepare rosters, allocate tasks, train employees, maintain records, support audits, and cover the department in the manager’s absence.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of laundry experience, preferably in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience in a hotel laundry operation.
- Knowledge of commercial laundry operations, linen handling, fabric care, laundry chemicals, hygiene, health and safety, and quality control.
- Experience with industrial laundry equipment and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, coaching, and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Professional appearance and commitment to guest service and luxury standards.
