Summary

Responsibilities

• To conduct auditing works on labour costs to liaise between estimation and production by establishing labour standards and work measurements using a generic unit of measure generated from a comprehensive process analysis using time and motion studies predetermined time standards work sampling and Historical experience .
• To conduct auditing works on material costs to liaise between estimation and design engineering by evaluation material requirements in terms of specification quantity quality and cost based in engineering drawings against the requirement considered by estimation using tendered drawings .
• To recommend value engineering strategies through a structurally sound economical and efficient technical construction that will minimize if not totally eliminate waste of resources ( raw material labour energy and money )and at the same time maximizing the factory’s manpower skills and machine capabilities without changing the original aesthetics and design concept of consultants .
• To analyse the materials & sub con cost proposed by the purchase department , against the budget and to highlight the cost overrun of any on the same .
• To technically provide the economics between an increase/decrease in labour and material by performing cost analysis and comparison on alternative process and design that would yield the most economical mix of resources that maximizes profit .
• To assist materials department on technical issue related to material ordering to supplier to manage a more economical purchase .
• To assist the Estimation department in generating man-hours of complex and complicated joinery items, Performs estimation and prepares quotation from time to time .
• To assist estimation manager by evaluating existing quotation at times of tight negotiations to come up with more cost savings on labour and material through alternative constructions method material and design through value engineering .
• Performs technical and comprehensive studies related to factory and site operation to support QA/QC department in their ISO programs and initiatives on continuous improvements towards lean management efficient and effective process flow .
