- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company objectives and project development plans.
- Lead all commercial aspects of development projects from feasibility stage to project closeout.
- Ensure effective cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control of projects.
- Monitor project profitability, cost performance, cash flow, and commercial compliance.
- Participate in project feasibility studies, financial modelling, market assessments, and investment evaluations.
- Lead contract negotiations, payments terms, and variations.
- Review and approve commercial terms, agreements, variations, claims, and contractual documentation.
- Establish project cost control systems and commercial reporting frameworks.
- Identify commercial, contractual, and financial risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Manage claims, disputes, variations, extensions of time, and contractual negotiations.
- Lead high level commercial negotiations and present reports to executive management.
- Establish performance objectives, conduct team evaluations, and promote continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil, Architecture, Project Management, Finance, Commercial Management, or Business Administration
- Minimum 12 18 years of relevant experience in commercial, contracts, project development, or construction management
- Minimum 5 8 years in a senior management/director role
- MRICS certification
- FIDIC Contract Management Certification
- Strong experience in real estate development, construction projects, or mixed use developments
- Extensive knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost control, budgeting, and project commercial management
- MBA or Master's degree in Construction Law, Commercial Management, or Project Management (preferred)
- CCM or CPCM certification (preferred)
- CIArb certification (optional)

- Define and implement best in class development management standards, processes and procedures.

Education

Professional Certifications Required
- MRICS – Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

- CPCM – Certified Professional Contracts Manager

Risk / Claims / Contract Management Certifications Required

Experience Required
