Technical and Assurance Responsibilities
- Review, consolidate, and update lifting standards and best practices.
- Conduct risk-based evaluations of complex technical issues that may affect project execution.
- Manage timely delivery of technical deliverables and resolution of technical issues.
- Review and recommend improvements to practices, procedures, and plans for effective project execution.
Incident and Mitigation Management
- Participate in high-potential lifting incident investigations and identify causal factors and root causes.
- Recommend corrective actions and manage mitigation implementation through closeout across projects.
Lifting Practice and Contractor Requirements
- Apply the Lifting Code of Practice when guiding project teams and site lifting specialists.
- Maintain an assurance process for project execution in compliance with the onshore and offshore Lifting Code of Practice.
- Support selection and qualification of lifting operation contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure contractor processes and procedures meet requirements and Qatar government regulations.
Safety Leadership
- Promote lifting safety leadership by supporting a proactive safety culture and implementing industry-leading safety practices and initiatives.
- Use Life Saving Rules and maintain a learning environment for converting lifting safety objectives into improvement plans.
