Role overview
The Technical Lead supports the eLIMS-Forensics programme and enterprise systems across forensic case management, LIMS, and expert reporting platforms.
The role combines software architecture, hands-on development, technical leadership, and delivery in a regulated forensic environment.
The role works with Qualitype, operational subject matter experts, solution architects, and distributed teams across the UK, Europe, nearshore, and offshore locations.
Primary responsibilities
- Own and contribute to architecture and development of enterprise Java applications.
- Provide technical guidance on design and implementation across distributed teams.
- Support modernization and evolution of legacy forensic systems.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture stakeholders.
- Support team mobilization, onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer.
Software engineering
- Develop enterprise applications across client and server components.
- Use Java 11/17, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly.
