Responsibilities
- Provide hands on technical expertise and customer support for the aftermarket business across Africa
- Deliver technical trainings in various formats including on site visits, small group sessions, and conference style presentations
- Create training materials and technical documentation
- Perform product demonstrations and trials
- Manage technical and warranty queries and support customers in handling claims
- Guide customers through technical discussions up to sales closure
- Proactively initiate sales driven technical conversations to identify product solutions
- Conduct targeted sales trainings
- Support trade shows to strengthen market presence
Requirements
- Professional qualification in a technical or commercial field
- Several years of experience in a sales or technical role within the automotive industry
- Exposure to and cultural understanding of African markets
- Strong technical knowledge of cars and preferably batteries
- Automotive technical training experience
- Fluency in English and French
- Full driving license and willingness to travel flexibly across a wide area
- Commercial acumen
- Team player and cultural sensitivity
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Influencing and negotiation skills

Your contribution
- As a Technical Field Support Representative, you will support the Aftermarket business across Africa by providing hands on technical expertise and customer support.
- The role is based in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities: What you will do
- Guide customers through technical discussions up to sales closure, working with stakeholders from mechanics to senior managers.
- Proactively initiate sales driven technical conversations to identify the best product solutions and conduct targeted sales trainings.
- Handle technical claims and support trade shows to strengthen market presence.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: What We Look For
- Professional qualification in a technical, engineering (or commercial) field.
- Several years of experience in a sales and/or technical role within the automotive industry, combined with exposure to and cultural understanding of African markets.
- Solid technical background including strong technical knowledge of cars and preferably batteries.
- Automotive, Commercial vehicle or Bus and Coach technical training experience.
- Experience with training technologies such as webinars, social media tools.
- Self starter, able to organize own appointments and develop technical discussions into sales opportunities.
- Commercial acumen.
- Full Driving License and willingness to travel flexibly across a wide area.
- Fluency in English and French is a must.
