Job Overview

  • Looking for an experienced and self reliant Marketing Manager who is comfortable with day to day marketing activities and long term strategic goals.
  • Lead and be responsible for planning, organizing and executing all Clarios brand and product marketing initiatives in Africa.
  • Work in close alignment with Africa sales team, central Marketing organizations and customers to support profitable business growth.
  • Ideally experienced with developing and executing marketing campaigns in the African Automotive Aftermarket.

Responsibilities: What you will do

  • Identify and understand the target audiences in each market to develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different countries, channels and segments.
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle.
  • Work in conjunction with the Africa Sales team and customers to develop and execute marketing programs and strategies.
  • Enhance brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads.
  • Manage the participation in trade fairs and customer events and support the execution on site.
  • Work closely together with agencies to execute online and offline marketing activities.
  • Develop a strong market intelligence database to have a comprehensive understanding of the current market situation and trends.
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly.
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Sales, Marketing or similar business related discipline.
  • Profound working experience in marketing ideally in automotive industry in Africa.
  • Strong budget & project management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of market trends in the different countries.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Readiness to travel (up to 25%).
  • Excellent English and French skills.
  • Team player, Cultural sensitivity, and Analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Genuine interest and passion for the automotive industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate project management skills.
