Role overview
Technical Director-level Structural Engineer role within AECOM’s Sydney Structures Team.
Senior leadership position combining team leadership, technical direction, and project delivery.
Work spans major building and multidisciplinary projects across Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Lead teams delivering structural and multidisciplinary projects across major venues, aviation and transport hubs, education, healthcare, defence, and data centres.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews and technical assurance.
- Act as Project Director on major projects from concept through delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Sydney structural team.
- Build client relationships and contribute to proposals, pursuits, and work winning.
- Share technical knowledge and support consistent engineering standards and best practice.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Ideally 20 or more years of relevant structural engineering experience, preferably in consultancy.
- Chartered Professional Engineer registration with Engineers Australia or equivalent.
- Extensive complex structural engineering project delivery experience.
