Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, data APIs, and serverless components for analytics and application workloads.
• Build event-driven architectures using S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Lambda, Step Functions, and AWS Glue.
• Implement AWS Glue ETL pipelines to load, transform, and curate data in Amazon Redshift.
• Model and optimize Redshift data structures for SQL and BI query performance.
• Support QuickSight data preparation, semantic modeling, row-level security, dashboards, and analyses.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch, X-Ray, and related services.
• Collaborate with data, analytics, AI, and product teams on technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers in serverless, data, AI application patterns, and cloud-native design.

Required Qualifications

• 10 or more years of hands-on experience building applications and services on AWS.
• Advanced Python proficiency for backend development, ETL, and automation.
• Experience with AWS serverless computing, event-driven integration, and AWS Glue workflows.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Amazon Redshift and analytical data warehouses.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data partitioning, indexing, and big data analytics on AWS.
• Understanding of AWS networking, IAM, encryption, and security best practices.
• At least one relevant AWS certification or equivalent practical expertise.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools is required, with Amazon QuickSight specifically preferred.
