Job Summary

Achieve individual financial and non-financial targets by acquiring, growing, and retaining profitable commercial banking customers.

Contribute to team targets and revenue through investments, foreign exchange, and banca products.

Build partnerships with relationship managers, team leaders, segment heads, wealth teams, CDD teams, risk, product, and support functions.

Customer and Business Development

  • Generate new business, identify prospects, and convert opportunities within the bank's risk appetite.
  • Formulate account plans, provide needs-based solutions, structure credit facilities, and execute banking transactions.
  • Build trusted client relationships and maintain a portfolio of active and growing customers.
  • Market and sell investments, insurance, foreign exchange, cash management, treasury, and related products.

Credit, Risk, and Compliance

  • Prepare credit proposals, loan applications, and annual customer reviews.
  • Work with credit teams to support sound lending decisions and adherence to credit policy.
  • Conduct timely customer due diligence reviews and maintain error-free CDD profiles.
  • Identify KYC issues, provide solutions or escalate them, and follow AML and CDD policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer issues, complaints, and product enquiries according to established procedures.

Strategy and Leadership

  • Increase market share in investments, foreign exchange, and banca across India.
  • Build high-value current account balances through capital account transactions, escrow, and GIFT City banking.
  • Lead relationship managers in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
  • Support talent hiring and manage people, profit and loss, and balance sheet responsibilities.

Governance and Conduct

  • Drive operational process improvement and support effective management of operational risks.
  • Support business strategy execution in a safe, controlled, and end-to-end manner.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and the Group Code of Conduct.

Required Qualifications

  • University graduate.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience serving business, commercial, or corporate clients.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills and ability to assess creditworthiness and risk mitigations.
  • Sound knowledge of trade, cash, lending, foreign exchange, financial markets, and investment products.
  • Knowledge of banking procedures, documentation, practices, and commercial banking regulations.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with people and client management capability.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience servicing international businesses in a cross-border context is advantageous.
