- Design and produce guides, templates, and online resources to support faculty development
Requirements
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Higher Education, or closely related field
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience in instructional design, faculty development, or related role in higher education
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering certification programs or comprehensive training initiatives
- Experience facilitating workshops and working collaboratively with faculty or subject matter experts
- Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models, and assessment strategies
- Familiarity with educational technologies, learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas), and AI applications in teaching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Creative problem solving and adaptability

Overview
- The Teaching and Learning Designer will play a key role in advancing the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning's (CITL) mission to promote teaching excellence and innovation across the university.
- The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and continuous enhancement of certification programs and professional development offerings for faculty, post docs, and graduate students.
- Working collaboratively with the CITL team and faculty across disciplines, the Teaching and Learning Designer will develop high quality, learner centered experiences that reflect current best practices in instructional design and higher education pedagogy.
Job Responsibilities

Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, faculty development, or related role in higher education
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering certification programs or comprehensive training initiatives
- Experience facilitating workshops and working collaboratively with faculty or subject matter experts

- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Higher Education, or a closely related field.
