Position Overview

  • The Radar and Remote Sensing Research Group at the College of Engineering, American University of Sharjah (AUS), invites applications for a one year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position.
  • This role is supported by a newly awarded research grant focused on the dynamic beamforming optimization.
  • The Radar and Remote Sensing Group at AUS is internationally recognized for its contributions to radar miniaturization technologies and advanced signal processing.
  • The group has an extensive record of high impact publications and patents.
  • Its state of the art laboratory facilities support advanced chip design, DSP development, and device characterization, including cleanroom capabilities and high frequency measurement tools for both packaged and on wafer devices—extending into the millimeter wave range.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. (or near completion) in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on array signal processing, and preferably with experience in reinforcement learning.
  • Strong background in system level modeling and an understanding of real world hardware impairments.
  • A solid track record of peer reviewed publications, particularly in IEEE Transactions and other top tier (Q1) journals, is required.
