Role Overview

The school is hiring a Primary Homeroom Teacher for a January 2027 start.

The teacher will support student achievement and contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in a related subject with PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • At least 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience in the American Curriculum.
  • Experience working in more than one international school.
  • Satisfactory references and police clearance are required for appointment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.

Teaching and Collaboration

  • Deliver inspiring lessons that achieve strong student outcomes.
  • Work with teachers to plan engaging lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and school colleagues.
  • Organize classroom provision, learning resources, and displays.
  • Plan and present sessions for the full ability range.
  • Meet with specialist professionals when required to support children’s development.

Assessment and Data

  • Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
  • Assess and record student development using Target Tracker.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning, provision, and intervention.
  • Provide progress feedback to parents and carers at conferences and other meetings.

Behavior and Professional Duties

  • Follow the school's behavior policy and manage classes using appropriate approaches.
  • Promote self-control, independence, positive attitudes, values, and behavior.
  • Contribute to curriculum action groups, school events, outings, and activities.
  • Communicate student achievement and well-being through school systems such as CPOMS.
  • Run a weekly extracurricular activity each term.
