Job Description

  • Aldar Academies are currently seeking an outstanding Primary Class Teacher (KS2) for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing August 2026.
  • Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum school with a Lower, Middle and Senior School model located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

  • Qualities and attributes: A supportive and approachable team player who can collaborate effectively with others. A good communicator at all levels. A commitment to developing positive relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Teaching and learning: To be able to teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum. Organising the classroom, learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the development of the Mamoura British Academy USP in this area.   • Assessment and data: Taking responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class of children to ensure that they reach above expected expectations. Meeting the requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development using Learning Ladders. Providing regular feedback to parents and
  • Behaviour management and duties: To follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote the TRACK Values to set high expectations. Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour & Safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS.
  • Wider professional responsibilities: To work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources and special events linked to that team. Support with organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening. T

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in Education or Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Teaching experience in English National Curriculum
  • Teaching across the age ability range with proven success
  • Experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum
  • The ability to work under pressure, problem solve and be resilient
  • Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Experience of working in more than one International School desirable
