Job Description
- Aldar Academies seeking a Teacher of Primary (PYP) for Bateen World Academy commencing 2026 2027.
- School located in Abu Dhabi, a high achieving British and IB World School.
- Offers IB PYP from FS1 to Year 6, and IB DP and CP in Years 12 and 13.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning for outstanding teaching and learning.
- Creating a climate for learning conducive for outstanding practice.
- Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives and setting targets.
- Identifying SEN, EAL and G&T students and differentiating.
- Providing clear structure and planning for lessons.
- Making effective use of assessment for learning and performance data.
- Making effective use of ICT to enhance learning.
- Maintaining discipline in accordance with school policy.
- Assessing learning objectives and marking work at least once every two weeks.
- Assessing and recording students' progress systematically.
- Preparing reports to parents and attending parent/student events.
- Taking part in subject development and keeping subject knowledge up to date.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education.
- 2 years teaching experience.
- Very good/outstanding teacher.
- Teaching across ability range with proven success.
- Experience of working in more than one International School preferred.
- Experience of teaching PYP or British curriculum preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.
- Commitment to school's vision and IB Philosophy.
- Passion for education and belief in potential of every student.
- Ability to work under pressure and be resilient.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Clean enhanced DBS check or police check.
