Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes
- Plan, prepare and present sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
- Organise classroom provision and learning resources, creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
- Observe and assess children in line with school assessments
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class and use data to influence planning and intervention
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and well being
- Follow the school's behaviour policy and manage classes effectively
- Participate in school events, outings, and activities, and run a weekly ECA each term

Main Duties
- Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Teamwork and collaboration: be a good communicator, develop positive relationships, work alongside fellow teachers, liaise with colleagues, work with parents, and cooperate with curriculum support staff.
- Teaching and Learning: clear understanding of the Curriculum, organising classroom provision, planning and preparing sessions, motivating pupils, observing and assessing children, being reflective.
- Assessment and Data: taking responsibility for the progress of a class, meeting requirements for assessment and recording, using data to influence planning, providing feedback to parents.
- Behaviour Management and Duties: follow school's behaviour policy, manage classes effectively, maintain good relationships, be a positive role model, have high expectations.
- Wider Professional Responsibilities: work as part of a curriculum action group, support school events, communicate with parents, make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school, run a weekly ECA each term.
