School Overview
- AQS follows the US Curriculum and is a large charter school with over 600 students from KG1 to Grade 5.
- The school aims to be collaborative, student centred, and constantly evolving.
Specific Duties
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance at the School, including inspection and appointment of external service providers.
- Ensure security and efficient operation of the school site in accordance with Health & Safety guidance.
- Implement issued policies, systems, processes and student safeguarding measures.
- Ensure school based events and activities are effectively planned and resourced.
- Ensure essential central services such as catering, security, maintenance, cleaning, transport, waste disposal and recycling are effectively planned and resourced.
- Support the OSM in utilisation of space and resources for buildings.
- Ensure daily monitoring of the BMS and BMS alert systems.
- Support the OSM in procuring and maintaining staff accommodation.
- Act as the designated school Incident Commander and be contactable outside normal School hours.
Leadership & Management
- Ensure external support service teams are performing in line with school expectations.
- Manage the facilities and general service teams to ensure high standards.
- Ensure each member of the Facilities & General Services team partakes in professional development, appraisal and training.
Finance, Commercial & Procurement
- Oversee relevant budgets and expenditure, effectively manage costs.
- Support opportunities for shared resource, cost and/or services across partner schools.
- Ensure purchasing policy and Delegation of Authority processes are followed.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure schools are fully compliant with local government authority regulations to safeguard against fines.
