Job Overview

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, B.Ed. or equivalent)
  • Minimum five (5) years of full time teaching experience within a British or Cambridge International Curriculum school (essential)
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (IGCSE/GCSE)
  • Experience teaching AS & A Level is highly desirable
  • Native level proficiency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
  • Strong understanding of assessment, differentiation and data informed instruction
  • Demonstrated ability to improve student learning outcomes and examination performance
  • Confidence integrating educational technology into classroom practice
  • International or UAE teaching experience is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum and the National Curriculum for England
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that support outstanding student learning and academic progress
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and IGCSE/GCSE and AS & A Level examinations, where applicable
  • Monitor student progress using assessment data and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Establish a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom culture that promotes high expectations and student wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning, moderation and continuous school improvement
  • Build positive partnerships with parents to support student development and achievement
  • Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities and ongoing professional learning
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection and professional conduct.
