Responsibilities
- Support privacy risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking activities
- Maintain and update the Privacy Risk Register
- Support Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default initiatives
- Assist with Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and data inventories
- Monitor developments in global privacy regulations, including GDPR and equivalent frameworks
- Draft, review, and maintain privacy policies, notices, procedures, and legal guidance
- Support Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and privacy rights requests
- Provide legal input into Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Provide privacy advisory support to business and technology projects
- Support regulatory audits, compliance reviews, and privacy governance initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
- 2–3 years' experience in a legal counsel, privacy, compliance, or related legal role
- Experience advising on data protection, privacy, compliance, or technology law matters
- Strong understanding of GDPR and similar privacy frameworks
- Experience drafting legal documents, policies, and compliance materials
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

About the Role
- We are seeking a Data Privacy Lawyer to support a leading organisation's Data Privacy Office in ensuring compliance with applicable global and local data protection regulations.
- This role will focus on privacy risk management, regulatory compliance, legal advisory services, and privacy support across business and technology initiatives.
- The successful candidate will be a legal professional with experience in data protection, privacy law, regulatory compliance, and technology related legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support privacy risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking activities

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting DPIAs and PIAs
- Exposure to vendor agreements, data processing agreements, and data sharing arrangements
- Experience supporting regulatory audits and compliance reviews
- CIPP/E or equivalent privacy certification
- Arabic and English language skills are advantage
Contract Details
- Initial 12 month contract
- Extension possible upon mutual agreement
- On site role based in Dubai, UAE
