Business Unit and Role Overview

The Corporate Tax team provides corporate tax advisory and works with a Delivery Centre on compliance, dispute resolution, and tax accounting services.

The Manager will join the UAE Corporate Tax team in the Dubai or Abu Dhabi office.

The role covers technical excellence, client relationship management, business development, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of complex corporate tax engagements and serve as a day-to-day client contact.
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance and advisory projects, including tax returns, group restructuring, and business model optimization.
  • Prepare technical analyses, engagement deliverables, and client communications.
  • Apply UAE corporate tax law, FTA guidance, free zone regimes, and relevant international tax principles.
  • Collaborate with Indirect Tax, Legal, Deals, and Assurance teams on integrated solutions.
  • Identify opportunities, shape proposals, price and scope engagements, and present to prospective clients.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, client alerts, internal technical training, and market eminence.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, conduct performance reviews, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, law, or a related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of progressive corporate tax experience in a professional services firm.
  • At least 2-3 years at assistant manager or manager level leading teams and engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax legislation and implementing guidance, with practical compliance and advisory experience.
  • An advanced degree or professional accounting or law qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience in UAE corporate tax is advantageous.

Skills and Technology

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
  • Project management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage deadlines and stakeholder priorities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and tax compliance platforms.
  • Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, AI, automation, analytics, and other tax technology.
  • Arabic language proficiency is advantageous but not required.
