Role Overview
- Support the development and implementation of the project's sustainability strategy and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project designs, construction plans, and operational processes to identify opportunities for sustainability improvements.
- Assist in integrating sustainability considerations into project decision making and lifecycle planning.
- Monitor compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments, audits, and site inspections.
- Support the preparation of reports, permits, and submissions required for regulatory approvals.
- Promote sustainable construction practices, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction.
- Support the integration of renewable energy, low carbon materials, and resource efficient technologies.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure alignment with sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with internal project teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities on sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Track and report sustainability KPIs, including carbon footprint, waste diversion, and energy/water savings.
- Support sustainability awareness programs, workshops, and training sessions for project staff and contractors.
Qualifications
- 5 10 years of experience in sustainability or related field.
- Knowledge of LEED, BREEAM, ISO 14001 or equivalent.
- Experience in environmental impact assessments and audits.
- Strong reporting and communication skills.
