The Supply Chain Manager - Asset and Inventory role is based in Dubai, UAE.

The role leads management of equipment assets in the marine seismic survey industry.

The position focuses on asset utilization, cost control, lifecycle management, inventory accuracy, and operational reliability.

Asset management planning

  • Lead a long-term Strategic Asset Management Plan aligned with business strategy and operational objectives.
  • Define asset management objectives, external factors, stakeholder requirements, and the asset portfolio under management.
  • Translate strategic objectives into operational plans and establish asset management policies, processes, and governance.
  • Integrate asset management planning with quality, environmental, and safety management systems.
  • Develop and report KPIs covering OEE, downtime, reliability, utilization, and lifecycle costs.
  • Ensure the asset management plan supports ISO 55000 readiness and certification.

Asset management system

  • Own and maintain accurate, complete, and current equipment records in the asset management system.
  • Design and continuously improve policies, processes, procedures, and governance for asset management.
  • Standardize asset data capture, validation, and lifecycle workflows in ERP systems.
  • Maintain seismic equipment records including serial numbers, specifications, locations, and condition status.
  • Oversee equipment acquisition, allocation, utilization, aging, replacement, and disposal.
  • Track project deployment and utilization, identify underused assets, and recommend reallocation or disposal.
  • Train relevant teams on system usage, data standards, reporting, compliance, and operational accountability.

Inventory management

  • Develop inventory controls that balance supply and demand and avoid stockouts, overstocking, and unnecessary carrying costs.
  • Monitor inventory across locations and set replenishment points, safety stock levels, and lead times.
  • Maintain inventory systems with accurate data entry, real-time tracking, and system integrity.
  • Conduct physical counts, cycle counts, and audits and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
  • Analyze turnover, stock aging, and shrinkage and provide recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Formal asset management certification such as Institute of Asset Management certification or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of asset and inventory management experience.
  • Technical or field equipment experience is preferred, especially in seismic, geophysical, or energy sectors.
  • Experience developing strategic asset management plans and governing asset management systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
