Role Overview
Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Specialist Smart Plant Engineer for a major ADNOC Offshore greenfield development project.
The role leads SmartPlant application administration, integration, governance, optimization, and engineering information management across the project lifecycle.
The position supports PMC, ADNOC, and EPC contractor teams with engineering data integrity, quality, consistency, and accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, maintain, and support SmartPlant engineering applications, including SPF, SPPID, SPI, SPEL, and SP3D as applicable.
- Act as the PMC focal point for SmartPlant systems and engineering data management, coordinating with ADNOC, project teams, and EPC contractors.
- Implement data management strategies, digital engineering workflows, governance procedures, and engineering database controls.
- Coordinate data interfaces, migration, system integration, data loading, handover, and close-out activities.
- Monitor data quality, conduct database audits, troubleshoot user and system issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Develop procedures, user guides, work instructions, reports, dashboards, and management information.
- Provide technical guidance and training to project personnel and support design reviews, constructability reviews, audits, commissioning, and start-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Significant experience supporting greenfield offshore oil and gas projects.
- Experience with Hexagon SmartPlant and Smart 3D applications in major EPC, EPCM, or PMC projects.
- Strong experience in engineering information management, digital engineering, and engineering data governance.
- Hands-on SmartPlant Foundation administration experience, including engineering databases, data structures, catalogs, and integrations.
- Experience with database platforms, SQL queries, engineering systems reporting, document management, and data lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary process, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation workflows.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
