AECOM is seeking an Inspector Civil/Finishing to join its team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The role oversees quality and compliance for civil and finishing construction works across the construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Inspect civil and finishing works against approved drawings, specifications, construction standards, building codes, and UAE regulations.
- Supervise site activities and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Prepare inspection findings and technical reports, maintain records, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor safety compliance, resolve construction discrepancies, and perform quality assurance and quality control checks.
- Interpret technical drawings and manage multiple inspections while meeting project timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering or a relevant field.
- Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in building construction.
- Experience in civil engineering inspection, site supervision, or construction quality control.
- Professional certification in civil engineering, construction inspection, or quality assurance.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of civil and finishing construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
Work Setting
- The role involves on-site construction inspections and supervision in Abu Dhabi.
- New employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
