Role overview

The Supplier Onboarding Functional Analyst will support logistics partner onboarding across HPE’s high-tech spares supply chain network.

The role will help implement scalable RMA, customer returns, repair, and reverse logistics processes.

The position is part of HPE’s multi-year Lead-to-Cash transformation supporting a unified networking platform.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead functional design for RMA, returns, advanced replacement, depot repair, exchange, refurbishment, scrap, and reverse logistics flows.
  • Execute manufacturing and logistics partner onboarding under established procedures, quality standards, and governance expectations.
  • Document process flows, business rules, exception handling, controls, and operational KPIs.
  • Translate requirements into functional specifications, process maps, user stories, test scenarios, and cutover artifacts.
  • Align SAP logistics, service, order management, inventory, procurement, warehouse, transportation, finance, and partner integration touchpoints.
  • Support requirements gathering, message mapping, validation, testing, defect triage, deployment readiness, and hypercare.
  • Define RosettaNet, EDI, and API integration flows and provide interface subject matter expertise.
  • Collaborate with architecture, integration, QA, data migration, security, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Develop functional test strategy for SIT, UAT, end-to-end, connectivity, regression, and business readiness testing.
  • Analyze defects and operational issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
  • Create training materials, process documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and transition artifacts.
  • Prepare governance updates covering status, risks, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, and mitigation plans.

Education and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of relevant reverse logistics, RMA, partner integration, or enterprise transformation experience in high tech is required.
  • Experience in a Functional Analyst, Business Process Lead, Product Owner, Solution Consultant, or similar role is required.
  • Hands-on global experience implementing RMA, returns, depot repair, warranty exchange, spares, or reverse logistics processes is required.
  • Extensive B2B integration experience with logistics, repair, 3PL, carrier, manufacturing, or fulfillment partners is required.
  • Experience with distributed and cross-functional delivery teams in complex enterprise environments is required.

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong working knowledge of RosettaNet standards and partner onboarding lifecycle activities is required.
  • Expert-level understanding of high-tech RMA and reverse logistics processes is required.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP supply chain and logistics functional areas is required.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and drive decisions across business, technology, partner, and support stakeholders is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience with testing tools, defect management, process modeling, data migration validation, integration monitoring, and production support transition is advantageous.
  • High-tech networking, hardware, telecom, semiconductor, or similar product experience is preferred.
  • SAP S/4HANA transformation, legacy CRM or ERP migration, partner consolidation, or post-merger integration experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of repair partner operations, depot models, 3PL flows, serialized inventory, warranty entitlement, and spares planning is preferred.

Workplace

  • The role is hybrid and requires working from an HPE office an average of two days per week.
