SAP BRIM Convergent Charging (CC) / Convergent Mediation (CM) Solution Architect

Role Overview

Workplace

• The role is designed as hybrid, with an average requirement of two days per week working from an HPE office.
• The delivery model is identified as offshore.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CC/CM architecture for usage mediation, rating, and charging across subscription and software offers.
• Translate business requirements into charge plans, rating logic, pricing structures, and mediation flows.
• Govern integrations with Convergent Invoicing, Subscription Order Management, FI-CA, CPQ/CRM, and usage sources.
• Define mediation controls for decoding, mapping, enrichment, aggregation, duplicate detection, errors, reprocessing, and reconciliation.
• Lead architecture reviews, resolve design conflicts, and secure enterprise and business stakeholder sign-off.
• Drive scalability, performance tuning, capacity planning, build reviews, defect resolution, testing, migration, cutover, and hypercare.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field; a master’s degree is an asset.
• 10+ years of SAP delivery experience, including 5+ years with SAP BRIM or Hybris Billing in an architect or lead design role.
• At least two full-lifecycle implementations of SAP Convergent Charging and Convergent Mediation.
• Experience with subscription, consumption, and usage-based monetization for software, SaaS, or as-a-service offerings.
• Experience with global transformation, platform migration, or post-merger integration programs.
• Experience delivering through an offshore model with onshore business and IT stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of SAP Convergent Charging, including charge plans, rating, pricing, master data, prepaid and postpaid models, scripting, and derivations.
• Deep knowledge of SAP Convergent Mediation, including collectors, decoders, mapping, aggregation, duplicate checks, error queues, and reprocessing.
• Working knowledge of Convergent Invoicing, Subscription Order Management, FI-CA, Entitlement Management, and SAP S/4HANA order-to-cash.
• Integration experience with SAP Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, OData, IDoc/BAPI/RFC, and high-volume usage interfaces.
• Hands-on Java, SQL, ABAP, scripting, performance analysis, and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe delivery and Jira, Confluence, and SAP Solution Manager or equivalent.
