Position Summary
Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers.
Ensure food is properly portioned, arranged, garnished, presented, and prepared in the required quantities.
Support food quality, kitchen operations, food safety, and guest service standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock menu items.
- Prepare special meals or substitute items and provide kitchen staff with needed items.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and food inventory.
- Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and food products.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
Work Standards and Physical Requirements
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance and protect confidential company information and assets.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and reach overhead and below the knees.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
