Position Summary
Direct and assist stewards to make cleanup more efficient.
Support kitchen, banquet, and buffet operations while maintaining service and quality standards.
Stewarding and Kitchen Duties
- Ensure water temperature and chemical levels are appropriate for cleaning and documented.
- Assist with banquet plate-ups and help cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
- Provide cooks with needed items and support banquet and buffet service by transporting and maintaining stock.
- Return cleaned items to proper locations.
- Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.
Supervision and Service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and communicate using clear and professional language.
- Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and ensure adherence to quality expectations.
